New Week
Monday, for many, marks a new beginning and it will for me today as well. I'm tired of not exercising the self-control I know I have and I'm through with it. It's a new day, a new week, and a fresh start. Sometimes we just need to remind ourselves that if you can't do moderation, you have no business doing it at all. That is the case for me, I go to extremes and have to face the music. Since I can't do moderation, I will practice abstinence!
Happy Monday everyone!

I do find it interesting that so many of us who have removed a lot of pounds are suffering from the same doldrums and are just floundering around in our remorse and guilt and extra calories. I got out an old diary and I'm going to follow what I used to eat when I was actually removing weight. Oh, and I KNOW I need to get back to the gym. I just hate it.

That's such a great idea Susan! I never would have thought about that but you are right! It is interesting how this happens to us all isn't it? I can't stand guilt trips and I especially hate it when I'm the one that keeps administering them to myself. We'll do it though!
Flavia and Susan,
I agree with you both. The long haul is what gets tough. I look at how far I have come and then how far I still have to go and I get discouraged. I appreciate having you guys around to keep motivating me!

Happy new start!! I've been doing that for 2 months now...but the scale won't really budge...I have lost inches tho...don't measure so have no idea how many...but clothes are fitting again. I had Rob hide the scale. LOL...it just depresses me and makes me want to eat.
